Ceilidhs

Originally a ceilidh was a traditional Scottish social gathering, where guests performed music and song, told stories and recited poetry.

In more recent times dancing has become an essential part of many ceilidhs. Ceilidh dance music is often lively and played on fiddle, accordion, tin whistle, bodhran and drums.

Dufftown Ceilidh Nights

An evening of traditional Scottish music, singing and dancing,  featuring local musicians. The dance steps are easily learned and a short practise session is often provided for new dancers before the start of each dance.

Everyone is welcome so why not come along to either the Commercial Hotel or the British Legion for a great evening.

Every Thursday evening from 20:00 during the summer.
